Angela Sanders New Release

Please tell us about your latest release!
I have several coming out soon. Never Again is actually outside my normal genre of paranormal romance and urban fantasy. It's a psychological thriller that I wrote for a Mystery and Thriller boxed set. Soon, though, I will be releasing the finale to my Delphine Rising Series, Magic Revealed. I have six other series scheduled this year, not including their follow-up sequels. I'll be extremely busy.
What was your inspiration for this novel?
This novel, Never Again, is very personal. Certain aspects of it hold my own truths, pieces of my soul, experiences, and things that needed to finally be shared with the world. However, it is not my story. It's a fictionalized story: Charlotte's needed to be told.
Who will your book appeal to?
Readers who love murder mysteries, crime thrillers, police procedurals, and psychological thrillers. This book has it all.
What authors inspire you?
For this particular genre, Melinda Leigh is the first who comes to mind; however, her books are not quite as gruesome in nature. She is one of my favorite authors of romantic suspense and psych thrillers. She's amazing!
Are there authors that you follow? Who and Why?
I follow a ton of authors! I follow both indie and traditionally published authors. I love all things magical, supernatural, most fantasy sub-genres, thrillers of all kinds, and even some horror. I enjoy reading almost everything fiction, as long as the characters are well written and the plot is interesting. Some of my favorite authors are: Melinda Leigh, Kim Petermen, JC Diem, Eva Pohler, Annie Anderson, Tina Glasneck, the late Edna Walters, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, Trina M. Lee (I wait patiently for each book of her Alexa O'Brien series), Tricia Barr (her new Shifter Academy Series!)... I could go on, but these are some of my go-to authors, and I could list a barrage of my friends as well. Their books are action-packed, well written, and I love them all.
What advice do you have for aspiring authors?
Never give up. Usually, when you think your writing is crap, it’s most likely the best thing you’ve ever written. Do not delete your work. Ever. You may use it or need it later. Find people you can trust, but who will also be honest with you and give you constructive feedback. You don’t want everyone to tell you, “Hey, this is awesome!” When in reality, there’s a big, fat, plot hole right smack in the middle, or it is in need of serious editing. Be open to constructive criticism. (It can hurt sometimes, but it's useful). Be honest, and never take shortcuts. Be kind. Lift others up and rejoice in their success, just as you would want them to do for you. As authors, we are a community, and we need to stick together. Rumor mills are just that: Rumors. Ignore that mess and go on with your business. Don't allow yourself to get caught up in what could cause you unnecessary drama or stress. I go back to my first statement: Never give up. This was my mantra in the Navy, and it remains my mantra to this day.
If you could have tea with any person in the world, who would it be?
It would be "coffee" with my late grandmother. I realize you were probably asking for someone famous or another author, but she's the one person I would love to see again, just one last time and ask for advice. One last hug. One last time where she would pat my hand. One last time seeing her precious face full of life and not sick.

Do you have a writing process such as outlines or does the book just play out?
Both. I used to be known as what people in the author community call a "pantser," but I saw the light and then began to plot a book with one of my co-authors, USA Today Bestelling author, Joanna Mazurkewicz. I used to let the book play out with a small plot, but then Joanna and I plotted an entire book, and we were able to write a seventy thousand word manuscript in seven days! It was amazing, and I was instantly converted. I still do a little "pantsing" but not much. "Plot, plot, plot" as Joanna has always told me from the very beginning. She is the one who "made" me write my first book. I love her to pieces.

Author Biography
I’m a retired Navy Chief, wife, and Mommy to the greatest little boy in the world. I studied Business Management at University of Phoenix (what feels like eons ago) and learned a lot at the school of hard knocks while I served in the Navy. Before becoming an author, I was a syndicated political writer/editor, and appeared on several radio talk shows, including BBC Radio. Thankfully, I left the political world behind for the things that dreams are made of: Books! Ask me about politics, and I’ll talk about vampires, witches, or magic. ;-) I’m an International bestselling author of Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, and also, branching out, I’ve written an Amazon bestselling Psychological Thriller, called Never Again. It was featured in a Mystery and Thriller Box set and will soon be released to e-book. I basically eat, sleep, and breath some form of the bookish world, unless I’m spending time with my family. I’m also an editor for award-winning, bestselling, and USA Today Bestselling authors. I absolutely love what I do. You can find me on my covered back patio under the light of the moon, typing away. It's my sanctuary unless evil little critters from the woods scare the crap out of me. But mostly, it's peaceful, and I love it. If you'd like to know more, you can always email me at books@angelasandersbooks.com. I'd love to hear from you!
